From Austrian valleys to the French Alps, from Scottish Munros to Germany’s climbing crags, these stories capture what happens when we rethink how we move.

ADAM RAJA
ABOUT ADAM
Adam is a Scottish adventurer, creative, and outdoor advocate from Glasgow. Growing up mixed-ethnicity in the ’90s, he faced racism, gang culture, and time in youth offenders. Discovering the Highlands transformed his life, sparking not only a deep connection to nature but also a desire to protect these powerful experiences for others. His work is rooted in ensuring the outdoors is more inclusive, so that everyone can access the same sense of belonging and transformation that reshaped his own path.
THE STORY
Adam attempts to climb a Munro using only low-carbon transport, joined by a friend navigating the outdoors with a disability. Their journey highlights the barriers to sustainable access in Scotland and asks bigger questions: who gets to experience nature, and how can we make that opportunity equitable?

ABOUT SOFIE
POW Germany ambassador and climber, Sofie champions sustainable mobility and eco-friendly climbing. Co-founder of Ecopoint Frankenjura, she promotes climate-conscious adventure and community engagement. Pursuing a PhD on sustainable outdoor climbing, Sofie connects environmental protection, tourism, and sport, inspiring climbers to blend high-performance with responsibility for nature and climate.
THE STORY
In the Frankenjura, Sofie links the journey to the climb, reaching crags by bike or public transport. The film follows her daily rhythm, from pedaling to tying in, reflecting on how small sustainable choices can influence culture. Her approach shows that adventure can be thrilling, responsible, and transformative.

GUILLAUME DESRUES
ABOUT GUILLAUME
Guillaume has served as Mayor of Bourg-Saint-Maurice/Les Arcs since 2020, championing sustainable mountain development. Deeply committed to community, he focuses on mobility, environmental responsibility, and participatory governance. Guillaume combines visionary leadership with practical action, transforming tourism and daily life in the valley while keeping planetary boundaries in mind.
THE STORY
Guillaume has redefined mobility in Les Arcs. Cycling, trains, shuttles, and the funicular now make low-carbon travel convenient for locals and visitors. With one in four guests arriving sustainably, Guillaume demonstrates how thoughtful systems and everyday choices can reduce carbon footprints, blending community engagement with practical environmental action in the Alps.

CHIARA PIZZIGNACCO
ABOUT CHIARA
Chiara grew up near Innsbruck, where her family created a lifelong love for the outdoors and everyday cycling. As a skier and cyclist, she combines her political science and communication background with roles at POW Austria and Kookie Kollective, advocating for sustainable mobility through work and adventure.
THE STORY
Chiara has always believed there’s more to adventure than what the media portrays, and that we don’t need to travel far to find it. In recent years, most recently on her sustainable ski tour with POW partner Löffler and on a bikepacking trip across the Georgian Caucasus, she’s realised how important it is to share stories that reflect this. From ski touring to bikepacking, everyday commuting to after-work rides, Chiara shows that the stories we tell matter, and that our choices can reshape the culture of mobility and redefine adventure.
